-Fashion for Freedom-

We are collaborating with Alex and his team

@ Rewind Consignment in White Rock.

What is Fashion for Freedom all about? It’s an open house to invite the community to check out the store if it’s your first visit, try on some fashions and enjoy the refreshments. An event to bring awareness and share with you the vision and the impact we are already making with the girls and women in Kolkata, India.  I’ll be sharing stories and pictures, answering all your questions and showing you some products we are making. I have special gift bags for the first 25 ladies purchasing ‘the Freeset scarves.’

I randomly met Ali Rushton on a train in Kolkata, in March ’18. My friend and I were travelling over to visit Freeset. It’s a flourishing free trade, social enterprise to help bring freedom and employment to women from the sex trade. We managed to talk on that crowded, stifling hot train- enough to also exchange contact info. I was incredibly inspired and knew this was no coincidence.

They have achieved what we want to accomplish in a village in India. We make a much stronger impact by collaborating and helping each other, and that’s why the scarves you’ll see at this event will be Freeset scarves. With each purchase you’ll be directly investing into the social enterprise we are developing. We need each other and your partnership is so important for us to continue.

We will have ongoing presence in this store after this event is over with the Freeset Scarves and the uniquely designed, one of a kind Malina Scarf . Visit- places/India/Jivan Freedom Center… and a line products we can’t wait to show you! Coming Spring 2019. You’re going to Love them!
